The dream Padma Bridge stands tall. There are no more days left. Go on the bridge. The Padma Bridge awaits the landmark time of the capital's communication with the southwestern districts of the country. After a few days, the long suffering will come to an end. His daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has implemented this bridge of Bangabandhu's dream by overcoming all adversities.
As much as there is passion for that bridge, there is also the signature to face the challenge. The Prime Minister is very much interested in Bangabandhu Bridge. The bridge is scheduled to open in June this year. To see that bridge, Sheikh Hasina suddenly appeared yesterday morning with her younger sister Sheikh Rehana. The two sisters walked from Pillar No. 6 to Pillar No. 18.
Standing on the railings on both sides of the bridge, they saw the two sides of the Padma. There are many stories of Bangabandhu family around Padma, which is full of memories. Maybe that came up in the discussion between the two sisters. On the other side is Tungipara in Gopalganj, the village home of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. How many times Bangabandhu has been arrested and taken to different jails of this country through this river since the forties. Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib used to go through this river with her children including her daughter Sheikh Hasina at different times to see the prisoner Sheikh Mujib. Returned with tears. There are also memories of the victory. All in all, Padma and Padma Bridge are the name of a different feeling for the daughters of Bangabandhu.
That's probably why the holidays are the last day of the year and for the new year the two sisters go together to realize an impossible dream.
An official accompanying the Prime Minister said that the Prime Minister arrived at the service area No. 1 of Padma Bridge on the road at 8:23 am on Friday. Then at 8:45 am his convoy climbed over the Padma Bridge on the Mawa side. During the visit, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina walked from Pillar No. 6 to Pillar No. 18 of Padma Bridge. Later go to service area number 2 of Padma bridge. From there, the convoy left the Mawa side of the Padma Bridge again at around 10 am.
Executive Engineer Dewan Abdul Quader confirmed that the Prime Minister was very happy to see the work of Padma Bridge. The Prime Minister's personal secretary and some government officials were present at the time.
Earlier, the Prime Minister was watching the Padma Bridge on her way back to Dhaka from Tungipara in Gopalganj on January 24. At that time Bangabandhu's daughter also captured some videos of the bridge on her mobile camera. Deputy Press Secretary Ashraful Alam Khokon shared the video recorded on the PM's mobile phone from the helicopter. He shared the video and wrote that the dream Padma Bridge is becoming a reality today. Our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the dreamer and implementer of this dream, is watching the progress of construction of Padma Bridge with deep affection.
The video, which was spread through social media, showed the Prime Minister himself filming and taking pictures of the bridge on his mobile phone through the window of a helicopter. At this time he was seen quite smiling.
It is worth mentioning that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made the dream Padma Bridge a reality by overcoming thousands of adversities. When the World Bank stopped financing the Padma Bridge alleging corruption, he implemented this project worth thousands of crores of rupees with a single effort in the domestic sector. The bridge is expected to be open to traffic from June this year.
