Nasir Mia, a drug leader and a convict sentenced to one and a half years, has been arrested in Naidighi Pathar area of Mirkadim in Munshiganj. Police arrested Nasir from his home in Mirkadim on Sunday morning. There are 12 more drug cases against him. He is the elder brother of the wife of Litton, a councilor in the 6th No. ward of Mirkadim municipality. Litton had been a fugitive for a long time. The drug dealer was arrested in a special operation at Hatimara Police Investigation Center in Rampal of Munshiganj Sadar Upazila. Hatimara Investigation Center officer SI Aminul Rahman said he was fined Tk 1,000 in a drug case in 2017 and sentenced to 15 days in jail. There are 12 cases against Nasir and he is one of the top drug dealers in the district. He was sent to jail as per the court order at noon.
