Munshiganj District in Gazaria said in broad daylight. The killer Arif Hossain has hacked to death a young man named Swapan Mia (35) and surrendered himself to the police station.
The incident took place at Nayakandi village of Bhaberchar union around 3:30 pm on Tuesday.
The killer Arif Hossain is the son of late Abu Miah of Nayakandi village in Bhaberchar union.
Md. Killed. Swapan Mia is the son of late Hannan Mia of Bhaterchar village in Tengarchar union of the upazila.
Md. Swapan Mia used to live in Nayakandi area with her sister-in-law Shahidul in search of livelihood.
According to local sources, on the way home from Bhaberchar around 3:30 on Tuesday. Finding Swapan Mia alone, he came from behind the bridge of Nayakandi village and hit Swapan Mia on the head and various parts of his body with a sharp weapon. He confirmed the death of Swapan Mia and ran away. Police came to the spot and recovered the body.
According to Gazaria police sources, he was killed due to previous hostilities. Upon receiving the news immediately after the incident, Gazaria police visited the spot and the accused Arif himself came to the police station and surrendered. At the end of the inquest, the matter of sending the body to the morgue and filing a case is under process.
